In this house, Pietro and Giovanni (?) Garzotto were born. They were two boys in a family with about 6 children. They had to leave and went to Switzerland. Most of the Garzottos in Switzerland are the descendents of these two Garzottos.
The house is near Valle di Sopra in Italy.

In diesem Haus wurden Pietro und Giovanni (?) Garzotto geboren. Sie waren 2 von 6 Kinder, welche die Familie verlassen mussten, um anderenorts Arbeit zu suchen. Sie gingen in die Schweiz. Die meisten Garzottos in der Schweiz sind Nachfahren dieser beiden Brüder.

is located in Veneto, Italy, north of Vicenza (see red star).
It is not too far from Lake Garda, where we heard that some Garzottos lived before they moved to the area. There is also a hypothesis that the name comes from Garda -> Gardotti -> Garzotti -> Garzotto (seemingly, "d" and "z" can be exchanged in the local dialect).

Valle di Sopra (siehe roter Stern) liegt bei Lusiana, nördlich von Vicenza.
Dies ist nicht sehr weit vom Gardasee entfernt. Es gibt Hinweise, dass die Garzottos möglicherweise vom Gardasee her Richtung Lusiana zogen. Von daher gibt es auch die Hypothese, der Name könnte von Garda -> Gardotti -> Garzotti -> Garzotto her kommen ("d" und "z" scheinen in der Gegend austauschbar zu sein).
